Find your winter mindset

In Norway there is a word "friluftsliv" which translates roughly to “open air life". When summer turns you get on some warm waterproof gear and head outside. It's really a MINDSET - of not being defeated by the weather, of wrapping up and discovering the cold can actually feel good.

I'm a beach seeking, sun worshipper. I struggle at this time of year. Here's my toolkit that I'll be using to get me through the next few months, and maybe even enjoying them... in case it helps you.

❄️ Eat spicy food - warm myself up from the inside and travel to the sun via my tastebuds.

❄️ Be outside as much as possible - take every opportunity to catch the light there is. Walks, breaks, meetings, socialising.

❄️ Sweat - get into my local sauna (for me after a cold swim) @brockwell_lido several times a week.

❄️ Allow myself to sleep more, accept this is what my body needs and don't feel bad about it. Surrender to the zzzzzs.

❄️ Restaurants - a beautifully lit room, a bellyful of restoring food, a warm welcome. Restaurants fill my body and soul now more than ever. Thank you.

Do you dip in the winter? What's on your survival list?
